Hey,
Would it in theory be possible to "disable" the Side Channel by making everyone else hostile locally, but not on the server itself?

I'd try it but it's a bit hard to test something in MP when you ain't got any players ATM.

I believe side chat is specific to the mission.sqm class of the unit, which you cannot dynamically alter
side radio on the other hand can be disabled using
enableradio false
this will stop them receiving move commands and ai messages etc, but not text typed by players on their side

Hmm, thanks. I noticed that you can't change the side of a player the normal way (i.e. by letting him join an enemy group) in MP. Well, you semi-could. Friendly units and the side command still treat you like a friendly but you will treat friendly units like enemies... I'll have to do some digging here.
Any ideas would be great.
