Title: texturing??

does anybody know what is the best programme to use for editing or creating new textures for addons?

I use either MGI Photosuite or Gimp (http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html).  Photosuite is easier for me to use, but Gimp allows me to create and edit alpha channels, something MGI can't do.

I am finding myself using Gimp more and more.  It really is a powerful program.  And best of all, it's free :-*
