Title: Make a fire on the ground
Post by: cirkut5732 on 24 Oct 2005, 01:55:53
I need to make a little area of forest look like the ground is on fire, In other words the fire with the rockpit wont do, I need just fire and flames, Its for a cutscene and the camera will be a ways away so I can make an illusion of it but I dont know how
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Search the Editors Depot for General Barron's 'Generic Fire Script'.

General Barron's fire script worked excellent! Thank you so much!
creates great atmoshphere, I once saw a video of a fire that had little
red lights floating up out of the flames to replicate burning embers. Anyone know
where to find this?

It's the drop command, as used in General Barron's script, just modified to look like sparks. Don't know where you could get a script for it though...

as i mentioned above, post #6 in this thread (http://www.ofpec.com/yabbse/index.php?board=6;action=display;threadid=25972) supplies such a script, thanks to karantan and babylon.
