Title: team colour for unit + 'crimescene_wp'
Post by: limmy3 on 05 Oct 2005, 23:20:14
Hi,

You can give each of your twelf units a colour which then belongs to e.g. team red when playing the mission.
Which command do I have to use in the unit init field?
I'm sure I don't mean setGroupID.
When starting the mission I want two teams to be blue and red.
Well, I don't know how it is called but I've read it some where. I look through alot of FAQs but I don't know the comand.

Does someone know of 'crimescene_wp' addon. ???
It is asked for at the beginning of the single mission but the mission will work correctlly after hitting ok.

Thanks.

I have horrible feeling it can't be done.  Only the player can do it during the mission.   You are right that it is nothing to do with setGroupId - that assigns an identity to a group, like Alpha Black.

I believe you Macca but it is annoying if it's true. I can't understand why you can do it manually but not via script. Surely the computer has a method of telling it's self once you give it the command. Can we synthesise that bit?

I wish you could because then we could add different features that occur when certain orders are used. I'm not sure what I'm on about but I hope you get what I think I mean.

Don't ask me for examples off the top of my head but there are a number of things you can do as a player in the mission which you cannot do as a mission designer.   It can be very frustrating but its just one of the limits of the game.     All you can do is sigh and move on.
