 Is there a good tutorial for a novice in OFP editing like me ? - including add on installation etc

Welcome to the forum!

Most addons include installation instructions in the readme file.

 've read them all, read this please : given my 5 years of experience in Poser and Bryce -  simple installation procedures like this should be nothing. The thing is that whenever I am placing third party .pbo's in my Res/addon folder the game displays  error messages like : you are out of video memory or cannot find 3d renderer etc
(game version : 1.96 / Radeon 9600 / XP SP1 ) any help would be appreciated
