Hi all!
I`m new to this forum, so excuse me if this question has already been posted...
Does anyone know where to find sound files of different conversations?
For instance between a pilot and HQ?

hey welcome to the forums
by sound files do you mean real ones, the ones from the cold war crisis campaign or ones from films etc etc
real ones try a search on google for some
the ones from the campaign download a good pbo tool i suggest win pbo from the editors depot link is at the top of the screen and un pbo the official campaign
ones from films im not sure how you would get hold of
anyway hope any of that helps

if you want easy-access voices, and want to extract some of the excellent soundfiles from the campaigns supplied with flashpoint, use the de-pbo tool (http://www.ofpec.com/editors/resource_view.php?id=358). that will enable you to decrypt the campaign pbo, along with all its sound files.
if you mean recording your own conversations, well that's a whole different ballgame. you'll need a microphone, and perhaps some sound manipulation software - although the sound recorder supplied with windows will record a perfectly suitable wav file. then you need to convert to ogg file format - dbpoweramp (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/) does this very well, so long as you download their ogg codec (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm).
once you have your sound files, take a look at some of the sound file tutorials (http://www.ofpec.com/editors/resource_view.php?id=55) we have here, those should point you in the right direction on how to go about using sound files in your own missions.
in any case, welcome to the forums, and good luck with your venture :)

Well, I mean real radio conversations, or conversations from other games..
I`ve DePBO`ed all the sound files from the game, but I can`t find any good ones! ;)
What i need for my mission, is some realistic radio conversations between pilot and pilot, and between pilot and HQ.
I'm not new to mission editing, so it won`t be any problem to get it work. I just need the sounds! ;D
I`ve just downloaded a Reorder programme, which i can record "what i hear"! That means i can record conversations and all kinds of sounds from DVD, CD etc.
Now i just have to think of some movies where i can find some good sounds! ::)
But thanks for the answers guys!

maybe films like We were soldiers or Hamburger hill both are very good films so even if you dont find the right osund it wasnt a waste of time
but these both include lots of radio messages from pilots and people requestng support

Nice tips! We Were Soldiers should have some good sounds! :D
I`m concedering Black Hawk Down...and i think there are a few radio conversations in Apocolypse Now too....
Thanks for the help!
If anyone have other movie ideas, I would be greatfull! ;D

Black hawk down may be quite good but most of their sounds are all specific to the event not many could be used all the time but we were soldier should be good and i think im going to watch that again tomorow lol
