Title: how do you make the dialogs in the middle?

I know how to make basic "HINT" messages at the top left of the screen!
But how do you make those things in the middle of the screen that pauses the game and has a cool flasy "close" button on it?

which won't work in veteran mode.

incidentally, when are you going to change your sig so that it reads 'flashpoint' and not 'flashoint' as it currently does?
