Can anyone help me get started with addons
is there a reference source where I can learn the basics about downloading addons, where to save them, how to unzip them and use them?

And the same for missions and campains.  Is there any references on how to download missions? where to save them? How to access them?

Before posting on forums, make sure you browse our resources at the Editors Depot (http://www.ofpec.com/editors/index.php) and the Breathe (http://www.flashpoint1985.com/breathe/) site (BIS' resource centre for modmakers). There are many tutorials outhere in the very vast community of OFP!
