Title: Question about mission editor names for units
Post by: MythPro1 on 09 Oct 2002, 17:48:30
Is there anyway whatsoever to change the names of units in your addons folder so they will be different in the Mission Editor? Sometimes these editors make names for their units that are just confusing.

You would have to dePBO the add-on and change the CPP file and then PBO it up again afterwards.

You would get an error when you would attempt to play online with the edited file, but your game would not crash, but would look like you've cheated for the game(Make bullets really accurate, invulnerable troops, etc.)

And it would be... hmm how to say... hmmm... kind to ask for permission to the creators before modifying their add-ons, particullary if you are going to distribute them.

Nah never considered distributing just for personal use, nothing more.
