Title: Not as much as an "addon" per se....
Post by: Dagon on 28 Apr 2005, 13:54:07
But could somebody please make some sort of mod for OFP that lets you set the mouse sensitivity better? I recently brought an MX1000 mouse, and even at the lowest setting of sensitivity (going below the 1st full notch makes the mouse input break), I can spin about 50 360's with just a 3-inch movement of my hand.

I dunno how this'd be done exactly, but it's impossible to shoot accurately when moving the mouse a tiny little bit sends your aim off 50 metres to the right, especially at >300 metres when the target's smaller than your front sight is.

Or better still, I guess, see if you can find me some way to remove the "sleepyness" of the cursor when sensitivity is lower than 0.7?

Rite, u runnin on XP rite? Goto control panel, mouse, and under the pointer option tab, click on the motion slider and bump it up a bit? That work?

It might only be for me, but the sensitivity of the mouse (in windows) is not used to 'base' the sensitivity in flashpoint. I can have sensitivity in windows at max/min, and it's the same in OPF.

My comp's a AMD64 2600+ with overclocked GF6600GT, and a gig of fast-enough-damnit ram; so there's no problem there.

The problem is that the MX1000, being 800 DPI, is far more senstive than the MSoptical I had (which was about 3 DPI), meaning it's too hard to aim, and putting the sensitivity in my CFG file below about 0.7 makes the mouse only response to huge movements.
