Title: cfg.addons
Post by: AHMzzz on 24 Apr 2005, 13:29:02
Hi guys:

I am a regular downloader of new missions and addons but suddenly I got the no entry cfg addons error. The game starts but cant load any addons. Now from the top of my head I can remember that I read somewhere that somebody is saying how everybody should make addons folders but I cant seem to remember where i read that. It is a crude guess but I think this is the solution to my problem ((so correct me if I am wrong)) , but I dont know how to make addons folders unless they litirly mean to make new folders and put them in the addons folder (i dont think thats going to work)

please advise.........
thank you

I would hazard a guess and say that your sudden error message is due to a faulty or misconfigured addon you have recently installed in your Addons folder.

Are you using the   -nomap   switch in your OFP shortcuts target field?

yes I am, because I had ofp gold edition and when I put some addons the game wouldnt work so i used -nomap and it fixed I havent experinced problems till yesterday.

so what do you think I should do.

I think you should remove all addons from your Addons folder.....except for the standard ones that come with the game.

Then, if all is working, start adding them back.......a few at a time till the problem comes back.

Then you will possibly identify which addon is causing the problem.

OK bad news I have tried to remove all addons and still it gave the same error with and without -nomap :(.

i guess I'm off for a reinstall, However, I still would like to know to do those addon folders if such a thing exist.
