Title: Turn the car lights off using AI. How to?
Post by: MIG on 11 Apr 2005, 10:48:58
Hi friends

I've created a AI unit named "guy"

I've created an empty car named "truck"

I've moved the unit to the empty car with the command "guy moveindriver truck"

Now that's a night mission and i want that Guy turn is car lights off before reaching his objective:

I've used the command "guy action ["light off", vehicle truck]" wich seem to be the more logical but didn't work.

What command should i place to turn lights off?

Thanks in advance,

MiG

p.s: i've tryed several other commands, including some streetlamp commands but nothing work.

Try :

Code: [Select]
guy action ["light off", vehicle guy]or
Code: [Select]
truck setbehaviour "stealth"

additional you can use waypoints.

"behaviour" safe = lights on
"behaviour" i.e combat = lights off

if you want to beware yourself of the writing ...  ;)

Thanks Blanco and vandeveen , you have solved my prob :)

First one, i've tryed it before but didn't work or better, it works but only during a fraction of second, the second is quite obviously (how dummy i am  ;D) and solved the situation perfectly  :)

It's not starting to get spooky, its always been spooky.

It is really weird.  I haven't been able to think of a rational explanation.
