Title: One cuestion about files *.lip
Post by: Praxtor. on 10 Mar 2005, 05:44:54
Hello i have one confusion with .lip and .ogg:
How i need do for make in one mission the correct speech?
I get the .wav file sound and i convert to .lip and after i convert this to .ogg and now i have two files one named *.ogg and the other *.lip allright.
My cuestion is:
Need i put this two files into one folder named sound into the mission folder? Yes i think.
After i put in the editor in the init field of the unit
Quote
this say "example"
where example is the reference to the .ogg file.
Is this correct or no?
Get I with this method synchronize the mouth of the unit with the speech?
Thanks for your time
Regards

Yes, I think.  Start with a wav.  Convert it to an ogg that is the sound file that goes in your sound folder for the mission.  Also convert the wav to a lip file, this also goes in the sound folder.  The lip file synchronsies the lips of the speaker with the sound.

Define the sound in description.ext and away you go

I always thought you only needed the .lip file since it was coming from the source .wav file. The same that'd be used for a .ogg... :P

Hahahahah.....I think if you only use a lip file you will only get the lip movements and no sound.

I haven't done any .lip files yet. I'm just asking to clear the fog of ignorance that clouds my mind on the subject. ;D

Didn't that sound loopy... :beat:
