Use Amalfi's pbo decryptor from the Editors Depot to unpbo the mission and find out.

Studying BIS missions is an excellent way to learn.   ;)   I do it all the time.

i grouped a unit in the base with a trigger so that the trigger was activated when the vehicle (the unit grouped with the trigger) was detected by the west (or whatever side you choose). Seemed to work fine for me  ;D

well you can always cheat and put a trigger around the place (300m?) and when west = present, use the reveal command maybe?

or put the ai skills up so they their vision is better
