Title: Atomic Annie
Post by: CPT Rooster on 26 Feb 2005, 19:24:08
Anyone know or have any ideas on how to make an Atomic Annie Addon? Atomic Annie was a US Army Artillery Cannon that could launch an Atomic Shell into Enemy Territory.  Today, she is a museum piece at the Ft. Sill Artillery Center.  The picture below is very popular in media and I think an addon would make a good submission to the OFP community.

OT, and I'm sorry about it, but:

Aha! so that's where c&c generals got their idea for the nuke cannon from! That first picture looks almost exaclty like the unit picture for the nuke cannon, too.

On topic: sounds like some fusion between the CoC nuke and the CoC unified artillery. You'd need a new model for the atrillery piece tho.

I was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Had the chance to see her in person myself, was great. I don't have any of my own pics, never thought to take any of her. She's located on the Cannon Walk, which contains many artillery pieces from throughout history.

Below are a few links from Ft. Sill's web site, which are a little better quality and larger size. I think this might make for an interesting addon with limited use, and if someone is ready to make the model for it let me know and I'll see what other pics and data I can find for you. I might have some buddies there still that can take a few more pictures, have to check on that.
