how does one twist objects along anything other than the horizontal axis? can it be done? i mean specifically, for example, making a loon lean, or tipping a car on end, or in this instance, rotating a firearm upwards instead of flat.
any ideas?
c'mon c'mon c'mon baby now, and help me work it on out ;)

Very hard. I believe it has been done in some way, but I'm not sure and it certainly involves very heavy scripting. Suffice to say that if you really want an upside down car its probably easier (assuming you want more than just blasting it into the air and hoping it comes down right) just to make an addon.

hmmm. does this mean there are separate models for firearms? one for lying flat, another for on the loon's back, another for in the loon's hands...
i've just been trawling through the comref, and fine there are sine and cosine and all those groovy trig staples, but nothing along the lines of a quick setangle, more's the pity.
m'kay, well if anyone else knows, please twist and shout. i'm not daunted by scripting, so bring it on ;)
cheers

I should have said waste half an hour on the forum search function, this kind of thing has come up before. You are right, the basic probem is simply that there is no setDir command in the vertical plane.

If you want to rotate a weapon, you'd need to create a weaponhandler or what it's call, rotate it and make it an addon. It's described by Tomb somewhere, just search through his posts or something.
