I have a problem with my texture's having poor quality ingame, yet they have great quality in bulldozer. How can I get the texture's to be as good ingame as they are in bulldozer?
Here is the texture ingame:

Is the problem that your ingame resolution is "800*600". ???
I have a poor texture quality because of this problem.

I just checked, and my resolution is at 1024x768x32. I also have the visual quality turned up as high as it will go. I think it's a problem with either the addon or the textures, as with other objects the quality is great. Look at the picture below. The men in the plane have great texture quality, while the plane doesn't.

And what's your picture format?
*.paa or *.pac or *.jpg?
I think pac format has the best quality ;)
:gunman:
-
I'm using paa at the moment, I will try pac and see if it makes a difference.
-
Ok, I tried it, and it didn't help. :'(

What size is the texture?
Is it n2 ? (eg. 256x256, 512x512 etc)?
-
I tried it in both 256x256, and 512x512. The result was the same with both sizes.
-
What was the image before you converted it to .paa?
The best type is .tga 32bit non-RLE compressed. That always gives results.
-
I use .jpg. I can never get .tga files to work, as I don't have a program that can do alpha channels.

the jpg files could be a problem, also they use more computer resources than paa/pac
-
Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I meant my original files are in the .jpg format. I then convert them to .paa using Texview.
-
I use a little program converter, which can also improve jpg quality (with minimum size increase); I also use it to turn pics in .tga, then I use TexView to save them as .paa or .pac.
Do you think this can help?

Maybe, depending on what the problem is. What is the program called, and where can I get it?
