Title: get, drop and boom
Post by: OFPfreak on 25 Jan 2005, 00:50:38
Ive downloaded a helicopter taxi'ing mission or however you call it and it gave me an idea. Now I made this  topic to ask people if they think this is a good idea (not the taxi'ing but the following im going to type you meathead)

I have created 3 scripts. 1 is the main script. It allows you to pick up any vehicle named cargo with e.g. a helicopter named carrier. And if you move too much while picking the cargo up you have to try again! (2 seconds till attached). Its quite realistic too. I dont have a rope connected to cargo and carrier since I dont know how to create ropes. But then you can drop your cargo and pick it up using the 1st action script and the 2nd action script allows you to drop it and make it explode after 5 seconds with a high payload of explosions

Main features:

-Possibility to pick up a few vehicles in example mission.
-Realistic failure when moved too much away from cargo when trying to pick it up
-Dropping cargo and being able to pick it up again
-Dropping cargo and make it explode after 5 seconds with high payload of explosives
-target area for using explosive drop on cargo.
-no/low lag depending on your computer speed
-all vehicles not bigger than a10/chinook supported

Bugs:

-When landing with cargo, the cargo will go right trough ground.
When leaning too much forwards/backwards with a helicopter, you will hit the cargo and die.

Well any suggestions or comments would be helpfull :).... please not "too" negative comments.
