Title: is lips moving but no voice file possible?
Post by: BronzeEagle on 18 Jan 2005, 03:24:50
Is there a way that I can get the characters to move their lips without a corresponding voice file?  I want the the dialog to be seen in text format on the screen.  This is so that I can have multiple translations of my mission and also to reduce the size of the mission.

I think the only way of doing that is using the voice and lip file and turn the volume of the sound down in the description file.

Sure it is... just don't have a sound file in your sounds folder.

Call the lip file the same name as your sound file (with a .lip extension instead of .ogg obviously), and remove the sound file.

The lip movement will still play, and you'll still get your subtitles.
