Title: Codebreaking
Post by: MMFF on 09 Jan 2005, 16:33:37
Just got this in my mind...

When infiltrating a base. You come up with a door that is locked with a code and you donÂ't have explosives to blow it open. So... The code must be broken... I think it would be like 3-5 numbers and a dialog which would look like this...

--------------------------
Code:1**4*

789
456       OK
123
  0
(the buttons)

Found numbers:1,4,
--------------------------

When the code is broken the door (or whatever) opens up... Or selfdestruct... ;)

Is it an addon idea or an existant addon ?

If it's just a idea, the Everon Cartel have made the "Safe and Keypad addon"

It's just a safe but i think that the general principle can be adapted.
But not by me....

The Everon Cartel website seems to be dead. For the download, it will be difficult... I've got the file (54kb), but I don't know if I am allowed to dispatch it... If you can find it on a download site...

Mattheus...

I planned it as a script that removes open door action and then there is a keypad script that gives you a dialog where the keypad is...

CanÂ't get to ECÂ's site...

DBR_ONIX...
CanÂ't get the Codepad 1.0....

There's another version, probably what DBR_Onix was talking about. Blanco I think made it.. although some EC code was used.
