Title: Request to edit a tank model
Post by: Rocko Bonaparte on 15 Dec 2004, 06:09:49
I'm still working on the multiplayer tank modification.  Right now, I'm grueling through making the AI tanks operate more effectively, and I'm also squashing some bugs.  It's mostly functional.  I'm using a hacked BIS M1A1 so that the tank driver can see out the gunner's view.  I only have one such model, which means I can't use it for the opposing team without massive confusion.  I'm hoping to get a reskin of the model for the opposing team, or some other way to distinguish it.

I had put a request in the recruitment depot for help:
http://www.ofpec.com/training/index.php?a=view&id=719

It should be some reskin and Memory LOD work.  I'd love to have the damage areas remapped, but I've already reconciled with that.  Let me know if anybody is willing to help.  I'm trying to get most of this tied up after the Christmas holiday.

yeah I can't make models from sratch so I say we should get the whole data3d as mlod format it would make things a whole lot easier (Well curently I need the M1A1 and the M16 (in mlod)).
Does anyone know where I can get them?

Go here for some models that BIS has released in MLOD format:

The M1A1 is there, but I'm not sure about the M16.

If you want 3d models in MLOD format, download ODOL Explorer:
http://flashpoint.nekromantix.com/wrp.php (http://flashpoint.nekromantix.com/wrp.php)
(It's the third download)

It allows you to convert ODOL models to MLOD.
