Title: Flag Addons That Dont Lag???Is There such a thing?

Ye', my second posted topic in this forum, but its really a huge issue for my mission

I just downloaded resistance flags from flashpoint.cz (addon) and to my great dissapointment the author in the readme stated that he had a 1.2 ghz computer 128 mb video card, etc etc and he recommended that any users that inset these flags in their missions have the same or better, or turn off thier shadowing!! I said to myself wtf?? Flags that lag???
So I never even tried em in my mission (I have 1ghz 64 mb card)

I really need a set of 9 flags of different anything, I dont care if the darn things are one solid color, U guys know of any flag addons out there that dont lag? Any info regarding this would be HUGELY appreciated, I need to have one different flag per player to reference each player when they take a flag pole area.

Well, you can just include flags in your mission without an addon, for one thing. I'm not sure if it matters WHOS flag you are using, they all should lag the same. But the flag animation is fairly CPU intensive, so if you had a ton of them, they very well could cause lag.

problem is that I need like 9 different flags for each player, I only know of east,west, and res flags that are included with ofp, are there more in there?

 General Barron, now that you've spurred my interest in what you said regarding the flags, yer saying chances are it doesent matter if every flag is a different flag or all the flags are the same in a mission, they cause lag either way individualy.
 If thats true its actually a good thing, cause my mission uses cti as its templet, so theres flag usage already maxxed out(20 some flags) and that would tell me it prolly dont matter what I change those flags to.

There are 172 flags included in Res\Addons\Flags.pbo

They range fron Afghanistan.jpg to Zimbabwe.jpg.

Unless it is custom flags you want to use?

Honestly I dont care too much what the flags are, as long as I got 9 different ones, and with a selection that big I'm sure I can conjur up the right ones for the job.

guess I'll delete that flag addon now lol
