Title: news bar links
Post by: bored_onion on 07 Nov 2004, 11:51:13
i love the little news bar at the top and its useful because it takes me straight to the relevant place but i have one tiny issue:

the color of the link

i know its trivial but for some reason i always click on the green or blue text before the red link - does anyone else experience this? could it be changed? is there a good reason for it im not aware of?

thanks

No. ;)

All other links in the forum are red. Why wouldn't the news link be red? Would rather be confusing than unconfusing (new word? ;D )

The link is the reddy-brown bit and that isn't going to be changed.    The green and blue are partly just for a bit of variety, partly to make the link distinctive, and partly because most of the other text colours don't work very well there.     Blue tends to indicate a news story about ofpec, green something external.     In summary

1)  Glad you like it    :)

2)  No it isn't going to be changed

3)  Yes I click on the green/blue myself sometimes, even when I wrote the bloody thing.   ::)
