Hi all!
I need help!
I have tryed to get WW2 collection V3 working, but everytime i try to start it from its own shortcut (and the shortcut startin line etc. is right), OFP tryes to start, a black screen stays on screen about 2 sec and crashes right back to windows givin' this error report, so i tryed to get it to work by cuttin' everything else from the WWII folder except the addons- and DTA folders, but nothing changed.
I must get this da*n "mod" to work but i don't know how :'(
HEEEELP! ;D
P.S. Sorry if this WW2 thingy doesn't belong to be posted here, but the WW2 link they gave with the WW2 "mod" doesn't exist (at least not anymore?)

Okey, i know now why it doesn't work.
The problem is called "OFP memory bug", means that i don't have enough memory to run that many addons as the WW2 collection V3 has (thou i have 768 memory ;D ), but on the other hand, my friend has only 256 memory, and hellova lot of free disk space, and the WW2 V3 pack is working for him just fine, but it is a bit laggy. I tryed to free up some disk space and 'voila, more addons worked, but just a few.
Does anyone know is this "OFP memory bug" because of you're memory, or diskspace?
I think its a little bit of both....dunno?

This problem has been answered many many times before, you should try a search.
Anyway.......If you are running version 1.96, put -nomap in the Target field of your OFP shortcut icons properties.
The Target field will usually go something like so:
C:\Games\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE
You need to add -nomap onto the end of this.....like so:
C:\Games\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE -nomap
Don't forget to put a <space> after FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE, but before -nomap

Ah yes, but you said to put -nomap at the end of the target line. On my post, it says to put -nosplash aswell as -nomap, which should cure the problem of crashing during the intro cutscene (well, it did for me)
-
hmmmmm........ -nosplash only removes the credits that are displayed when you start up the game.

Which means the game won't crash when the credits show, because there are no credits I guess 8)
