Title: How do I start writing a config file?

Help!!
I am just starting to produce addons and have a basic design modelled and textured but I don't know how to write a config file for it. I have used one supplied with a tutorial that I followed to make the gun but would now like to change the settings.
I have the commented config file from breathe and find it confusing. I have also looked at some config files but am still confused.
A bit of help would be great

What addon are you making? Then I can help you a lot more easily.

Thanks for the offer Lean Bear but I have managed to work it out now. I found a tute on writng configs here on Ofpec.
