There are a bunch of differnt addons that don't work. I have 1.96 and they are new downloads, and I have a pretty new computer. How come I can't download them.
-
... yes I have a miss up on the title... it should read "Addons are not working"
-
I'm confused.... you can't download them, or once you place them in the Addons Folder they don't show up in the game?
-
I download them, put them in the file, and there not there for mission editer. For example the RNLMC addon just doesn't work.
-
tell us exactly the path where you put the mod folder in your OFP. Specifics are better. Is it a memory message you get at loading up, or you mean you just don't see the addon[ie, pbo files] in the editor?
-
codemasters/operationflashpoint/res/addon/ and put it there.
-
you are un-raring them arent you....
www.winrar.com
-
you like doesn't work
-
I presume you are talking about the Lowlands Warrior addons?
I know that there have been a few updates so it could be that you have some outdated addons and a new config (only a guess).
Anyway here is a link to their download page so you can check:

Yeah, the file you downloaded will be in a .rar file..
Thats a compressed file, that contains all the needed files (Almost all addons use it, that or .zip)
www.google.com - search for Winrar
And download/install that
Then use that to extract the files..
There will be a readme.txt file, it says where everything should go
But if I remeber, the folders are something like this :
ResAddons
Addons
Missions
Copy the resaddons folder to ofp folder/res/addons
The addons ofp folder/addons
Mission to ofp folder/missions
And thats it
Winrar is easy enough to use.. Select the files you want (The 3 or 4 folders), and press Extract to... Give it a folder (Say, click the desktop, and in the file path, type Lowlands/)
And that it ;)
Gd luck

Oh, the files that go in the addons folders are all in .pbo files ;)
Or islands come with a folder you also extract to the addons folder, but thats not really importarnt to you atm ;)
