Can someone please give me a list of addons worth getting and please tell me where to get them. thanks.

Go to the missions depot, sort the missions by highest score, and then play some of the 8/10 or 9/10 missions that use big addon packs.

¤ BAS addons, http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?newlang=eng as they have some problems on their site. Many addons, nice weapons.

Also, the Hayukashi (spelling ???) Modern U.S. infantry units look great.
Combat! made some good looking armor units too.
Can't remember the links off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure www.ofp.info has 'em. If not, just run a search for them.

WGL mod is great for not-so-beginners into mission playing, you get hit hard enough you black out every 30 seconds or so, and the trees and forests are all that is listed on the map. Very realistic mod...can't remember the link right now, partly because I got it off of ofpwatch :)

Don't forget the ECP! It isn't an addon, but rather improves the entire game, no matter what mission you play.

YES! ECP is definitely worth the download. It totally revitalized OFP for me.
And if your crazy about addons, one guy made an addonECP, replacing default BIS units with good quality addons. You can find it over at gamezone, though I can't remember what it's called.

I have to say that ECP isn't very well advertised, the only reason I knew you could get it was from reading this thread.
i DL'ed it but unfortunately there was no flashpointbeta.exe file in my flaspoint folder, so i simply made a shortcut from flashpointres.exe and changed the shortcuts name to beta, does anyone know if this is the correct way to go about installing it, my current vers. of OFP is 1.96, and it seems to work fine, the lighthouses don't light up tho'???

At the end of the shortcut you use to run the game, add this to the end of the target line:
-mod=@ECP
That will run ECP, no need for remaning things.

Both of the packs I know of use ECP, Pappy Boyington's Y2K3, or the EECP. Both are nice packs.

I have Flaspoint GOTY edition and adding -com=@ECP to the end of the target line for the shortcut I use to start the game don't work. I just get an error message saying:
The name D:\Program Files\Codemaster\ Operation Flashpoint\FlashpointResistance.exe"-com=@ECP specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and filename are correct.
Also, when I create a new shortcut and rename it FlashpointBeta.exe, and start ECP with the ECP shortcut on my desktop, it runs fine, but then I finish the game and try to reopen ECP using the shortcut it doesn't work. It's well weird.
Can anyone explain *as tho' you were talking to a simpleton :)* how to get the thing to work, from scratch if you please :) thanks.
My current game is flashpoint GOTY edition, vers. 1.96.

That would be -mod=@ECP....NOT -com=@ECP
Where did you get -com from?
Just use whatever shortcut you use to start the game, it doesn't necessarily need to be called FlashpointBeta.exe.
And as long as it is 1.96 it should work ok.
EDIT: Make sure there is a space between -mod=@ECP and the rest of the target line.
