Title: help with RAR

what exactly do i when i download an addon that happens to be a .Rar file? could someone tell me if something is required to use them.Because i'm clueless

A rar file is much like a zip file.

Zip files can be opened with Winzip ( and other programs).

Rar files can be opened with WinRar.

Do a Google search for it.

zips can be undone with winrar so what i did was just loose winzip and replace it with winrar

Just you say I've done the same as Vyper. I find WinRAR much more capable and WinZIP and as you might of noticed RAR files are smaller than there ZIP versions.

I use a free tool called
Extract Now
its a great tool to un-rar [do google research on it if you like]
very fast and comprehensive//user friendly-not buggy at all!
