Title: daisy cutter bomb

Anyone know any mod concerning the daisy cutter bomb used in nam?
basically it was a huge drum full of explosive dropped by choppers on forests to destroy loads of trees and creating a landing zone in a circular area.
useful no?

Search, this has come up some time ago... Not sure if anyone made it.

But you can't destroy forests in OFP, only trees, not the large groups of them.

But laserguidedbombs work rather well... ;D

isn't it possible to script forests to blow.. maybe just with explosions/no tanks?
would be fun no? I searched for daisy cutter but no results.. boh?

Can't you us the IDs to delete a forest I think. You could make a mission specific script.

say a Chopper is heading to the "forest". When it hits that waypoint, it activates a script that causes an explosion below the chopper that is similar to a dasiy cutter. At the same time it deletes the "forest".

Only problem is this will create only a square. You could have trees camcreated after the explosion to make it look more circular. I'm not sure if this idea is possible.

Another option is to build your own forest using NAM vegitation. Then all you would have to do is creat a series of explosions that destroy the trees in a circular pattern. This seems like the easieast idea. Might be laggy I don't know. If so delete most of the trees in the circle LZ.

If you come up with a script I'll try to test it. I don't have time to make it from scratch.

I'll see if I get some time. But no grauntees. Winter break is when I can get back into OFP on a regular basis. Someone else may make it in the mean time.
