Hi. I have some news which may be found useful. This is no shameless plug, okay?
I have an extensive knowledge of guns. And thus one of the latest advances in finishing has beaten a path to my dad's shop: ceramic coating. Nearly Indestructible, this stuff beats DuraCoat (a paint for guns) and parkerizing (look at the M16. What is that finish called? ;D ). This comes in lots of colors, including a blue titanium color. It has a nice subdued shine (go figure) and I decided to apply this color to the slide of an HK USP. It's really squared away, nice looking, and now tough as nails. So really, no color is too out there any more in terms of placing textures on guns. There IS a purple, so don't even try!
I'd Like to have some vehicles for the old original OFP version 1.46... I can't get Resistance.
And I guess I should go ahead and ask for a better Mk2 PBR ... Don't know if there is one for 1.46 that is NOT embedded in some 12Mb Mod... but yeah...
Mmmmm....TV Dinners.... My skin is turning red....

Err have you looked at similiar posts by exigent? You'll have some trouble finding 1.46 addons, though they are out there.
I have no idea where... :P
Purple guns? I'd be afraid my enemy would die of laughter looking at my girlie gun. :-[ ;D :D

Hey, I'm just pointing out that it IS possible to have a really crazy-colored gun. I DO mean every color ;D
I agree, but it was mainly to prove a point. :P
-
Yea I know but I'd be afraid of multi, everyone ravages the ammo crate and I'm left with the purple M16, lol. :D
Though in the SJB handgun pack, the Walther P99, I think that was it?, anyways it had a civvi, military version, and a green version. Not sure what you use a green version for?
Enviromentally friendly? :D ::)
-
Or get a blaze orange one. "Wtf? What is that? An orange AkSu? Ack! That guy killed me!" It would be distracting.
I guess the green one was to satisfy the environmentalists ;D
-
LOL!
Any1 see that Michael Moore episode with him dealing out orange wallets so the police wouldn't think it was a gun (cause apperantley they shot some1 pulling out his wallet) . Now we deal out orange guns to show them it's not our wallets! ;D
And the green one... Just be sure to put it in mud after use and then you can use it to grow fields easier. ;D (Dunno what it is called in english. In swedish its called kompost, instead of fertlizing you use like bananas and other rotten stuff)
I would really, really like a pink gun when I'm playing MP! ALL FOLLOW THE PURPLE GUN! ROFL. ;D
:beat: *Gets Shot* :beat:

Its compost. Filled with all the stuff to make plants grow and make the surrounding area near the pile stink like rotting misc. stuff.
-
Yea, I hit in the dictonary but it didn't find anything. I'll make em bastards pay. >:(
BTW, any pics on em paint jobs?

There was female artist a few years back who took guns and "girlified" them. I don't think they were still usable, but it was cute to see a pink Barbie AK47, an M16 with glued on seashells, sequins and rhinestones, an SAW painted in rainbow colours etc.
I don't know her name but I'm sure that quick Google would find her !
Making war FUN again !

PS - On a practical note - how about a full cammo version of your favourite sniper rifle using that ceramic paint ?! Now that WOULD be useful !
-
having a dad wich was a sniper in the 70's I knew that normally you would paint the gun with one colour e.g. olive drab and then accordingly to your location you would cover it with vegetation picked on the spot.. like with the ghillie suit.
it would be nice to see a "branchy" rifle, no? ;D and more difficut to see.

The TOW M24 pack has "branchy" weapons.

Well, I DO have some pics... my dad is a gunsmith, does all kinds of refinishing etc. He knows his stuff, not trained at the AGI (American Gunsmithing Institute, where you learn how to take them apart, not really fix them).
This is a Romanian AK47 SemiAuto with the Titanium Blue CeraKote (c) Ceramic Coating. Im getting it on a USP slide ;D
There are other colors, like red, yellow, deep blue, and purple.
I will have to find another way, the pic is 148Kb...
