i need help learning how to edit a RTS2- game

i want to make my own version of it but not many want to help ...

What do you what to edit?
The Costs?
The vehicles?
The Buildings?
Something Else?
I need More info before i can help you

Yeah i want to edit the money system..
i want to add new buildings to make the game more balanced for both sides...

i want to add the street light and heli pad to a construction jeep for a night and day version.

i thought you could use karr's and modify it.

but i dont even know were to start..
i mean if i could get into it i could probally going on from ther with not as much help.. but like i dont even have a clue were to start to edit, because some guy said that you could edit karr's .. but i havent really figured that out either.
