After texturing my entire map, testing it frequently to ensure that it was appearing the way I wanted it, I pbo'd it and took it to another computer to show it off. In OFP, there were no textures, just white! I returned home, loaded Visitor, re-pbo'd it and it worked in-game perfectly.
After a lot of checking, I discovered that the virtual drive I was using ( Z:\) had to be running for my textures to appear in the game. The pbo is looking in z:\ for the textures, even though they're actually IN the pbo!
Checking the pbo in a text editor, I can see that all textures have the "z:\" path in front of them. Naturally I need to make the game look in the pbo instead. Can someone help with ways that I may fix this problem, as I don't fancy re-texturing the map! :(
The rest of the island is complete and ready for beta testing. Need help!

You could send it to me, I will see what I can do.
I presume the PBO would end up in your standard Addons folder.
I also presume this is a .wrp file.
Email is in my profile.

Unfortunately, with my dialup connection, it would take too long to send (over 18mb). Is there another way I can supply info to you about the file.
The pbo contains the wrp file, config.cpp and the custom textures I used for the map (generated by Visitor).

How big is the .wrp file?
If it isn't too big, just send the .wrp.
Also supply the name of your PBO.
I will presume the PBO is in the standard addons folder.

Eep....
Never mind. :)
I discovered that the texture path is also set in another menu elsewhere.
I wish there was a more comprehensive manual than the rather slim volume that BIS provides. Many a problem has been overcome by a lot of trial and error, and still some small errors seem irreparable. I'm sure everything will work out in the end, but a manual would really speed things along. :)
