Title: milkshape 3d

was wondering i was looking at a past post and someone was refering to abuu talking about running a model from milkshape 3d thru anim8tor anyone know why this needs to be done or if abuu could you reply. thanks.

anyone have any luck with getting models from milkshape 3d into oxygen light by any chance?

models made in milkshape have to be saved as 3ds files then opend in annother proggy like 3dsmax then resaved a a 3ds file then u can open it in o2

well since I dont have 3dstudio max is there anyother program to convert the milkshape 3ds over or free program?

ok I tried makeing the model from milkshape a .obj file imported it into anim8tor and exported it as a .3ds file then tried to import it into oxygen it told me missing KFDATA section.

Ok I didnt know there was precise info on how to get milkshape3d .3DS files into oxygen well I found it in a tutorial from abuu  and here is how you do it use anim8tor free program  you export your milkshape3d .3ds file.  Import it into anim8tor go to options debug click dummy 3Ds kdata then go to object export and save it as .3ds file format and then go to oxygen and import the .3ds file thats it..
