Hi
would it be possible to make a script that makes units stunned for a few seconds after an explosion happen nearby?
-
I dunno how to script it but I imagine some kind of fired eventhandeler and its proximity to the soldiers and then you use a simple soldierA domove false or whatever that is... :-\

Take a look a the Marine Assault Pack by Earl and Suchey. Their soldiers kinda blackout and you will have a "ringing" sound in your ears when a grenade explodes nearby. So to answer your question, yes it is possible but theirs was done by the unit config I believe. I have no clue how to write a script to reproduce the effect though.

Yeah but does that have any effect on AI?
I'm sure the blackout is just a titlecut [blackin, blackout] deal. And the ringing is just a sound, niether of which affect the AI unless panzer was only referring to the player... :P

I don't think is efects the ai :P
Oh, 0 fadesound 0 stops the player hearing any sounds, maybe like he's gone deaf

I think it's also only if they take damage, for effecting AI, play an animation making them look stunned.

There is an animation that does something like that.
Can't remember what it is called now.
Wait......EffectWeaponPanic thats the one.

In multiplayer it happens often to me that my soldier gets kind of a blow by an explosion. cause of the great deal of dammage you take you fall on the ground and get blown away for a meter or 2 what makes you think you're dead.
All you really need to do is a dynamic sound setting that goes to 0 for a moment and that slowly increases back to it's original level. (maybe with a long very-high-tone-beep)
DO I make sense? :-\
