Could you be a bit more specific? Are you stick in the mission editor wondering how to save, or are you talking about making a campaign?
-
I'm making a campaign and i don't know what to do to get the mission completed to go to the next mission
-
This is all handed by a special file called description.ext, which does other things as well. There are tutorials in the Ed Depot - try under Tutes - references - file format.
-
I can't find any file format tutorials under references
-
Your not really trying now are you? :hmm:

It would have been easier if you told me how to do it and not send me to tutorials, but thanks anyway
-
Hmmm.....well.
Using 'Search' is very easy.
It involves pushing a little button at the top of the page called.....emmmm.........'Search'.
Enter your search preferences and send it looking.
Easy Peasy.
Have fun playing with it.

Shut up!, you cheeky BASTARD!!!
Can no one get straight to the fucking point, instead of sending me to Tutorials
-
THats because its too complicated for someone to just put in a message.

You talk like that you get yourself banned or at least this thread is going to be locked. If you want everyone to just do everything for you you can just download a mission in mission depot, change the name and call it yours.

U asked for help and ur getting help, i dnt see wot ur problem is.

Tutorials are there to help you learn how to create missions and campaigns. The forum is here to help when you are stuck on a tutorial, or when there is no tutorial.
There is an enormous amount of material in the Editors Depot and it does take a while to get to grips with what's there, but until you've done that - and obviously studied some of the tutes - you're not going to understand any answers given in the forum anyway. The answer to your question is well covered in the tutes to which Artak referred.

hey
wtf willie, you've got an attitude problem man, how do you expect to learn without tuts... thats where everyone starts!
You say you don't want tuts cos you can't be bothered to read them but anything we post involves reading and im sure any of our explanations would be as long as a simple tut anyway!!!! ::)

FFS, I wonder how you make it IRL with an attitude like that.

Token from campaign description for beginners download
How do you open it?
Description.ext - Introduction
This is the main file that tells the game how to deal with your campaign and, most importantly, what order your missions go in. It also contains other details such as the number of lives you have throughout the campaign, an awards system and the identities of characters used.
Open the example in the campaign files you just downloaded. While reading through this, you should refer to it and this should make better sense. I will now cover some of the parts that a basic campaign Description.ext will have.
-
There's no description.ext file in my missions folder, how or what do i use to create one
-
Open the example in the campaign files you just downloaded
Didn't you get any example files?
The description.ext files can be opened with Notepad as Macguba already pointed out.

At the risk of self advertisment, read "macguba's guide to mission editing for beginners." Then download the Tutorial Mission and use the description.ext in there as a template. It doesn't have any campaign stuff, but you can copy and paste things in from the description.ext tute.

I think a lot of people in this thread needs to step back, take a chill pill, and grow up.
Artak has linked to tutorials which solve the issue first presented in the thread, so I see no use in letting this flaming go on.
