I've reacently downloaded Planck's DEM-WrpEdit tutorial, but the link to download Microdem seems to be faulty. It may just be me (I do sometimes have trouble getting onto pages when other people can), but if it is just me, can someone send me an email with it?
I've tried this link, which is the link on the tutorial:
http://www.nadn.navy.mil/Users/oceano/pguth/website/microdemdown.htm (http://www.nadn.navy.mil/Users/oceano/pguth/website/microdemdown.htm)
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance.

That link doesn't seem to work any more.
Try this one:
http://www.wood.army.mil/TVC/MicroDEMV6/microdem_ver_60.htm
It seems to be ok.

No - I'm afraid I can't get onto that one either :-[. I think that that one was one of the links I tried when looking elsewhere for this program. Could you just email me with the program? My internet seems to do funny things...

I can only recommend that you keep trying that link.
It will not be possible to email this program to you as it is almost 28 Mb in size.

OK - I'll just keep trying. Thanks for the new link.

Hmmm... It must be the connection I've got which does not allow me to open certain web pages. However, I'm using free translations services to get onto the servers that way. Wont let me download though :'(. It says, "A connection with the server could not be established." Does anyone no what's wrong with my browser???

This one worked for me.. just tried it out...
it's the direct download link too.. so maybe your browser will be more forgiving if you don't have to actually open the page

And if that doesn't work try this one:

No - I'm afraid not. It seems to be my server that can't connect to their server. What's annoying though is that there are two different download links - both on different servers, but both seem not to connect. Other people can do it, why can't I???
-
is it possible for me to host it breifly on my website and then you get it from there???
or is this against the rules
-
That would be really great!
I can't see anything on the page that indicates any copyright notices (I know this because I use Luniac's anon. web browsing, but it doesn't let me download the file).
Nine times out of ten freeware programs let you distribute files anyway - as long as they are not modified.
Thanks,
Aquis.
What will be the address?

Thanks so much, W£DGE!
Yes, It seemed to work great! No downloading problems at all! Connection seemed to go fine; everything worked!

No probs mate
just out of interest what download speed did you acheive from my server???
-
Sorry I didn't reply earlier - I compleatly forgot about this topic!
In answer to your question, I can't really remember. I have broadband, and I would've remembered if it was going to slow, so I believe that the speed was about an average broudband download (40 - 60 kb/s)
Thanks again,
Aquis
