does OFP support any other sound format, except .ogg???

Yes - you can definitley use .wav.
Also, I think I have seen references to .wss sound files in the commented configs.
Just make sure your sound classes point to the .wav (or .wss) files in your config. They can be placed quite happily in the Sounds folder with .oggs.
I have had problems with short (< 12Bb) .ogg files on occaisions so I've used .wavs to get round this.

Be careful, I suspect you may to to use different formats in different circumstances... not sure though. It is definitely true that, for example, the game does sometimes use things other than than .ogg.
