sorry i have to re-open this, but i can only find "west", "east", "resistance" and "civilian". i have v1.96 and various addons so i can only open ofp withe FDF mod, is the missing "empty" slot caused Â'by FDF?

This is most probably cause by the fact that you have set the object to "player" or "playable" and not "not playable". A man can't play an object.

You know where you can decide if the unit is "player", "playable" or "not playable". Change that to "not playable"

I've never heard of anything like this before. Unless its what I've told you it's either a missunderstanding between us or some very weirdo bug.

The reason you don't have an "empty" slot, is because you havn't placed a player.

1.Place a soldier or vehicle (dosn't matter what side west/east/civilian)

2. Make sure that the unit is the player (not "playable as" or "not playable"). If the unit is actually the player, the option to preview the mission should be available

3. Now the empty slot should be available
