I was just wondering if there is any way to make MPEG movies in flashpoint. I want to make some neat chopper scenes. Thanks.

KK, first D/l fraps. its a free to sue prog that lets U record whats on the screen. But unfortunately it doesnt record sound :/
Then, once youve captured your footage, get a movie editor that can make M-pegs (Unfortunately, the only ones that make MPEGS are commercial, the only ones which are free are things like movie maker 2 which makes .wmv) and then edit it all together. Simple
Or U could msg me on MSn and ill edit it all togethr for you (I have over £620 worth of editing programs)

Fraps 2.0 DOES record sound. Unfortunately, it is no longer Freeware.
If I recall the URL correctly, Fraps is available at fraps.com.

First, buy a Radeon VIVO class 3D card!
Second, connect your TV-out to your TV-in.
Third, connect your audio-out to your audio-in.
Finally, record the video in MPEG.
Not the best solution, but works fine!
::)

LOL, if U really wanna pay to get all that when U could do it all for free... ::)

i have recorded sound and video with fraps fine , but i had to run 640 or 800 x graphics and not full screen mode or it would lagg :P hehe but the results are still cool to show off if you got comp, powwa ;D and some cool stunts, action or addons to show off ingame 8)

You need to run the game at 800x600, or less.. Because FRAPS won't record all the screen >:(
It cuts of a far ammount.. I recorded a bunch of stuff, then noticed half it was missing..
(Same with a lot of my new vice city stuff, all was fine til I got a new graphics card, and move the screen res ingame from 800x600 to 1204x786)
I've not ever tried FRAPs v2..
Looks okay
BTW, there is a demo of it on www.fraps.com
But it only lets you record 30 seconds at a time >:(
Might be enough though?
BTW, you can get EditStudio2 free, and it can export to loads of different formats (MPEG, AVI, WMV, RM)... I got it of a PCPlus or PC Format cover disc, but I guess you can download it (If not, order a back issuse of PC Format/PC Plus :) It was deff one of the two magazines, but I can't remeber what one.. PC Plus is my bet)
Good luck with it :)
