Title: Death groan
Post by: macguba on 27 Jan 2004, 15:44:22
Under particular circumstances I want a loon (or the player) to die.   As things stand it all works fine but silently:  what the thing needs is an "aargh" death rattle.

I could record one myself and make the trigger play it, but that's all a bit like hard work.  Is there such a sound already in the game?  How do I make it play?

I was hoping it would be in one of the Effects boxes in a trigger, but no dice.

Many thanks.

Im thinking something like an eventhandler.

As for a sound, you could use the cry of agony when you legs are injured and you try and walk.  Thats fairly grissly.  Dont know where its kept though

Ah yes, that'll do ... no I don't know where it's kept either, thats what I need to know.

(It's for a trap which is fired by a trigger, so once I've got the sound making it play is no problem.)

Hi MacGuba!!

Check in the DTA folder, then UnPBO the sound file. It should be called hit(#) or Up.wss/Up.stk. I've just checked, You might wanna look in the "People" folder (after having Sound.pbo unpboed).

They're all *.wss files though. I don't know with what programm they can be opened.
