Title: Change Characters In Game
Post by: Monty on 26 Jan 2004, 22:16:05
I am trying to make a MP mission for my team. What I am trying to do is have a mission where my team and I start out as civilians and go "under cover" over the island and search for a bad guy. Once the bad guy is found, the team can go back to base and change into their military gear. Is it possible to do this? Have a barracks and when you walk up to it a menu pops up with list of characters for you to choose from (black op, pilot, machine gunner, etc.). Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

You can fake it with AI loons: just delete the old uniformed loons and createunit or setpos in the new ones.   Cover it with a cutscene or do it when the player isn't looking.

However you can't do it with a human.    As HuNtA says, you can only fake it with a mini-campaign.
