I've been runnin around on mp games and people are taunting me >:( , I want to taunt them back, how do I do it?
just so u know, i already know how to pull sounds from movies bla bla, I'm good at getting music into cutscenes, I know sounds and musics already so if somone could just give me a rundown of what i need and where to put it I would greatly appreceate it, <------ spellcheck not working lol
-
hmm I can't remember exactly, but I think you just create a folder called sound or sounds :-\ here
C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Users\yourname\
and put your sounds in there, then they will be available from the radio menu ingame. Try a search on the Official Forums (http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard3/ikonboard.cgi) and you'll probably find a proper answer if this doesn't work.
-
The folder name should be "sound" and it does indeed go right where Black_Feather said
-
i'll try it out, thanks fellas, but do I need some sort of "string" or "description" file for it?
-
nope just put the files in the folder and they'll appear on your radio menu under the "custom" section
-
thanks guys, I'm getting alot of help from these here forums, this place is the best !!!!
-
didn't work :( this is what I did. Pulled sound out of a movie, resaved as ogg formate, then put in file...
C:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\Users\-=TERA=-Forrest\sound
no script, discription, or stingable with it...
-
try this http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/mp/customshout.htm (http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/mp/customshout.htm) you finished some of the steps already
-
it still doesn't work, even after following tute >:( , in the multi game under radio selection the "custom" choice is grey, even after putting an OGG file in sound folder under my user name.
-
C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Users\yourusername\Sound
this is how mine is and it works fine. Ogg files have to be mono also(no sterio)
-
ok, i've changed it to mono and it worked... kind of. The name of the file showed up in custom option under radio. but all it did was make a "shshshshskt" noise for about two seconds, then after I exited and retryed it in another MP map, "custom" radio was grey again.
my sounds are this:
44,100 Hz, 16 bit, mono
I am sooooo close to giveing up on this grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr >:(
if no one can help, thanks to all for trying ;)
-
how long is the sound supposed to last? if its shorter than a second ofp won't play it, you can add some silence to the end of the file though if that is the problem.
-
the 1 second rule.... that had me guessing for a good week - ::)
-
the first is 8.??? seconds long and the second is 7.982 seconds long....
can I send the sound files to somone so they can check em?
-
send em to me if you want to
