Title: WrpTool forum support
Post by: Snake Man on 07 Nov 2003, 21:49:22
Just to let you know guys, since this area is meant for Visitor / WrpEdit, we dont want to bring offtopic posts, so we wont be providing WrpTool technical support in this forum anylonger.

I suggest you check the official WrpTool forum which can be found on the manuals Contact Info page.

Thank You and cu on the official forum.

What are you talking about?

This board is titled Island Editing and the description reads:

Discussions on island-making tools such as Visitor and WRPEdit. From basic to advanced questions, all areas open to query.

Note I have emboldened the words 'such as'.

This appears to cover WrpTool nicely, I would have said.

I think what Snake_Man means here, is that it is easier to answer WrpTool related questions/bugs etc on the official WrpTool forum. In essence this keeps all queries/problems in one area and easier to address and be included in a FAQ or the manual.
Visitor and Wrpedit are final release tools where WrpTool is still under development, and as such I feel it is prudent that anything related to WrpTool is directed at the development team.
Just my thoughts, not wanting to offend anyone.
Cheers :)

Nor do I wish to offend anyone.....nevertheless, people will still post WrpTool questions in here..IMHO.

I suppose we could just redirect them to the Official Wrptool Forum.

*Most* of the issues that have been reported are installation or other user error issues. Those are best handled by double checking the manual rather than a multiple of duplicated posts.

Bug related issues should be posted over at the WRPtool forums, to make it easier to crosslink with existing private data and testing logs.
