Title: Acquiring appropriate textures for weapons
Post by: eagle-eye on 06 Nov 2003, 13:38:32
I'm asking this since a) couldn't find a good net resource b) i'm much better in modelling than texturing. So if there are some plentiful texture collections somewhere, or inside some graphics package, please advice :)

I'm doing models for rifles and pistols not yet done, as far as i know, and thus i'm in wanting of textures.

I don't think there are any collections for weapon textures, but you can read these two excellent tutorials.

What weapons are you looking at specifically?

The best way I've found to find textures was looking at the manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers websites. Alternatively try gaming sites or the like.

Ok heres a few to get you started.

Thanks for the links!

I just try to make some rifles and pistols that I haven't seen done yet, as far as anyone can catch up with every single weapon made.
