Title: Using cameras for cutscenes
Post by: Tribal on 15 Oct 2003, 13:45:12
Hey guys, i know this has proberly been said about 1000 times over but basisically ive just started playin the game again and i used to be quite good at making missions! i made a great intro to a level once using cameras through triggers! however now when i load the mission editor and load the trigger button all i can change is a few sound effects and any txt that may come up once its triggered!

Before i remember using this option where i could change it so a camera would kick in once triggered! but now i cant get that option? im fully patched up to version 1.46! is there another seperate patch for editing? which will give me the camera setting options?

Thanks

Geoff

learn to do scripting, it works SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!

Check that you haven't accidentally switched the editor back to easy.  This often happens when you install a patch or re-install the game as a whole.  On the editor screen check top left.  it should say ADVANCED.  If it says easy, click on it so it does say advanced and all the other options will be available.

Tribal. Although your problem is solved I suggest you head down to the editors depot (http://www.ofpec.com/editors/index.php) and first check out this (http://www.ofpec.com/editors/browse.php?browseon=&browsewhat=1&catselected=1_3&category=1_3&subcategory=1_3&numreturn=25&displayformat=0&ofpv=1&searchstring=Intro+to+camera&searchwhat=2&searchlevel=1&searchopts=) tutorial and when you have read and understand it, continue on to this (http://www.ofpec.com/editors/browse.php?browseon=&browsewhat=1&catselected=1_3&category=1_3&subcategory=1_3&numreturn=25&displayformat=0&ofpv=1&searchstring=sqs&searchwhat=2&searchlevel=1&searchopts=) tutorial. You'll never make a trigger based intro again.
