Greetings from the desert.

Does anyone know of a script that would allow the user to walk into a building (gun store) and pick/choose whatever weapon he/she wants to use?

I have no idea how you all make these scripts, and quite frankly don't have the patience to sit here for hours attempting to create something that someone quite possibly has already created.

The only way I have been able to add additional rifles/weapons into my missions is by creating dead units, with weapons laying beside.

Somone please help.  Point me to a link, or dumb it down big time for me!

I'm working on just the very thing you're talking about my man right now..

should be done in a few weeks

will be an custom building stocked with guns you can "buy"

 Oh by the way....  

you can use ammo crates ..

and put anything you want to inside em  by using


this  AddWeaponCargo ["WeaponType", Quantity]

in the init line

or i guess you could just use that  script  in the mean time

Thanks man.  I'll give it my best shot.  I've been playing this game for a while now, and really haven't attempted to write any complex scripts or missions.  I am more adept to download cool scenarios from y'all, who are much better at this stuff than I am.

This game has taken on a new life because of the creativity and time spent by all the OFP freaks out there on the www.

Thanks again, and drop me a line if you wanna chat about OFP AZ style.

P.S.  Seen any saguaros out there to download?  I was hoping that someone would attempt to make a "border patrol" style mission or something...

Hey sundevil,

I don't have an answer to your question, but it seems you've already received help.  I just wanted to let you know that you are not the only AZ OFP freak.  I'm a Tempe, AZ OFP freak.  And since you bring it up, a Sonoran desert mission map including Saguaro cacti would be kind of neat.  I'm just barely getting into creating missions myself, but maybe if I become more addept I'll work on a Sonoran desert map. 8)
