Why don't you attatch the intro to us and we'll go from there?

Hi mate - the thing is i was planning on releasing this misison - as it is my first one i would like people to mkae a comment on their first impression - if oyu know what i mean ...

I dont want poeple commenting on my mission when they allready kno what it is like - i want a first impression - im blabbing ...

as it is an intro - imagine the camera is looking down on the assault as it is commencing..

Does this help ?

how about O fortuna composed by Barr ??? (I think).  Not sure if it's the right name, but I'm sure you've heard it a million times in movies/commercials etc.  Very dramatic, starts slow and climaxes nicely and the latin chanting is always a nice touch...

i've got some kind of music which you can't hear...
but then it starts into explosions and yelling and gunshots

someone used it on the hamburger beach

which was a great mission and was different to an omaha beach mission...

but you'll have to wait until i get my lan sorted cuz it's on the uva com.

Hanz Zimmer makes alot of great movie music, The Peacemaker, The Gladiator and Black Hawk Down just to name a few.
Music from The Peacemaker would go great with a mission i think.

Do you mind sharing the music? I could use it too.

Anyway, to answer your question: Did you do anything that might have changed it somehow? Did you alter it in some way?

Thanks.

Thanks!

Well, I have no idea what's wrong. Retrace your steps and see if you did something that included using the music, all I can think of.

I think it's best to use the sounds OFP provided, how limited they might be.

These sounds that OFP provide - htey are the ones thta you get from DePBO'ing the PBO files within the game - correct ?

Never tried them - ;D Ill give it a shot...

I haven't used the DePBO tool much,

Seems kind of risky...

What I meant was the sounds and music you can find in the 'Effects' bar in Waypoints and Triggers.

Another tip for music/sound that doesn't work: ReInstall it and see if something happens.

*GrimMonkey attaches two jumper cables to the thread and pulls a switch*

Sorry, I hate restarting threads but I need to.

rhysduk, please take into account what Iwesshome suggested. If you haven't already.
I could really use that music!

*GrimMonkey rips his hair out*

Oh yeah, why IS the limit so low? I forget who, but I think some other forums got hold of unlimited space to put junk. Fact, or fiction?

*GrimMonkey strokes his chin thinking for six hours*

Because if we set it higher than 50KB, people use start using OFPEC as their own personal online storage area. This is a fact drawn from previous experiences here at OFPEC.

So if we open it up, people abuse it and it then degrades the service we provide to you all.

So there is method to our madness. ;)

Trust us, for each decision made on forum & site setup, we work out how best to allow you all the most freedom without risking the level of service. :)

Actually,

It's more of the fact that if I do not see a response within the next 2-3 days, I presume them MIA or KIA.

Another nasty habit ::).
