Title: Hint, objective.. specify side???
Post by: Wildebeest on 19 Sep 2003, 17:33:30
Hi!

1. How do choose whether hints should appear for side east or west?

2. How do I make objetives for each side? Like for instance in single player I type: "1" objstatus "failed" and that makes your first objetive a failiure. But how can I specify if that is an east, reistance or west objective?

Thx yer the best.. please help! :o

Oooh, I just figured something out myself. You can specify the side of the objective by typing "west_1" objstatus... instaed of just "1" objstatus... cool... well now I know that at least.  :)

Hints are shown only on the computer they are runned at. That means if you run a local script, the hint would only show on that computer. As triggers and such stuff are runned globally, hitns will shpw on every computer thu.

you can side select triggers using the following line in the condition field

(vehicle player in thislist) && (side player == EAST) && (Whatever other condition you require)

A trigger, covering any specified area, may become
local only on clients, who are inside the trigger area.

I haven't tested this later than 1.85, but up to this
version this was the case  ;)
