Title: NOOBHELP

Nearing completion of my first addon "laspistol" (based on WH40K) and are experiencing all noobproblems there is. The biggest problem for now is that the trooper starts halfway into the ground(must drop pistol and pick it up again to move at all) and then canÂ't move and only turn in about a 45° arc facing forward if the gun is held in the hands. Also one has to change weapon to activate the gun after it being picked up. Any suggestions on how I should deal with this, are more than welcomed.

Check out the following website and look under the gun tutorial.  If you follow these steps and model your CPP according to his, it may eliminate some of the problems you are having.  Otherwise, post the CPP to your addon here in this string and I'll take a look at it.  Pictures help if you can get those as well to explain what it is that you are having problems with.
