Tell me this. I ve searched everywhere for a map/world with a waterfall in it. Has anyone designing this before...it is possible in visitor/wrpedit?
-
It is possible. ADF made one but it was never released.
-
But the sea level is at level 0.
So surely a waterfall needs water at a level greater than zero to fall into a loch for example.
Operation flashpoint would simply draw a dry river bed.
Or am I wrong?
-
They could just make a section of the water (waterfall between a height and the river..going into the ocean) animated, looping a downward current. it doesnt have to be perfect but it would be very useful..not just for my MOD but for a lot of mission/campaign creaters out there.

u mean something like that?

It's not possible i think. just scripting, or did i understand u wrong?

surely you can use a animated texture to make a simple waterfall. The limit of ofp is just how far you can edit it.
-
yeh... using animated textures is possoble right? Take a look at the tracks on a tank for example. Make an addon in the shape of a waterfall (rocks at side etc), and then use animated textures for the water...
Waterman. ( ;) :P)

*Thinks about putting a patrol boat down that thing*
Waterfalls would be really good on the eye-candy side of things, since OFP terrain tends to be unrealistic when it's trying to portray more extreme environments (mountains etc.)
